I am in town for a meeting. I wanted to try an Italian restaurant based on the past reviews, so I selected Nicola's. The restaurant is nice. There are several restaurants in the same area and they all require street parking. I had to park a block away on a Sunday night. The menu at Nicola's is interesting. There are some traditional Italian dishes, but there are some surprises. For example l, a breakfast menu (even though they open up at 11am), Cheeseburger as a "House Specialty" and Thai Pasta. For a restaurant I have not been to, I tend to go with the house specialties. I had Lasagna. The lasagna had a lot of meat and it was very filling. I also ordered a side salad. The warm flatbread that came with the meal was fantastic. I could only eat half of the lasagna and took the rest home. Overall, I would highly recommend Nicola's.
This is a super cozy and cute place to go with friends or even alone. the staff is great, and the food is delicious, but the atmosphere is the best! It's located in such a cute neighborhood, feels high end and charming, and it really makes you feel like you're in Paris even though you're in woodland hills!
Nicola's Kitchen is a good Italian restaurant. They ask if you want bread before you order, which was tasty flatbread, which went well with the balsamic vinegar! I ordered the eggplant parmesan which came on top of noodles. I was slightly underwhelmed because there were just 2 thin pieces of eggplant on top of a lot of noodles - which actually was enough for 2 meals for me. There is also parking at the parking lot that is behind the shopping center, which they will validate (not the public one across the street).
